Using ARC
What is ARC?
Software for running and building escape rooms: game control, automation, displays, and connected hardware. See what ARC can do.
Does ARC need the internet?
Local game operation can continue during an internet outage while the local setup and cached license remain valid. How ARC works explains licensing and online-service limits.
What does ARC bring together?
Staff controls, game logic, player displays, and hardware connections share one workspace. Features explains the capabilities; Tour shows the software.
Do staff need to be technical?
Builders configure the game and hardware. Staff use the Control page to operate sessions, send hints, and respond to players.
Can ARC manage more than one room?
One installation can contain multiple games with shared location settings. See Games and rooms and location pricing.
Can I test ARC before switching?
Start with a copy of one game and test devices deliberately. Avoid having two systems command the same hardware during a test. See the migration guides.
Setup and recovery
Will my existing hardware work?
Check the specific model, interface, and required commands. Start with supported integrations and the compatibility checklist.
Can I import an existing game?
The Portal has converters for Mythric M3 and Escape Room Master. Both create starter games that need review and testing.
What computer do I need?
Use a dedicated computer that stays powered on and connected to your local network. See Download and install for requirements and installation.
Where do I start?
Getting started takes you through your account, installation, license connection, and first game.
What if the ARC computer fails?
Local operation depends on that computer. Keep a usable backup outside it, review Backup & Restore, and contact support for help recovering or moving the installation.
Trial and subscription
Is there a trial?
New eligible accounts receive a 30-day trial of the core software without a credit card. Follow Create your account; optional services have separate availability and pricing.
How much does ARC cost?
Pricing lists the subscription, additional locations, and optional services in one place.
How do cancellation and billing changes work?
Manage your subscription in the Portal. See Pricing for cancellation information and contact support about a particular billing change.
Connected services
Which integrations and add-ons are available?
Browse Integrations for hardware, online services, and ARC apps. Pricing explains optional services; some integrations also require a third-party account or compatible hardware.
Can I access ARC remotely?
Connect enables remote access in ARC Control and supported online integrations. Your ARC computer must remain online. Local access and remote access have different requirements.
Help
How do I get help?
Support has email, Discord, app-access help, and account/data instructions. Include the app version and what happened when reporting an issue.
