A safe update routine for a production ARC computer

Read the version notes
Check for changes to hardware integrations, game data, displays, or staff workflows used by your rooms.

Use ARC’s backup tools before changing the installed runtime, especially on a computer running multiple rooms.

Install when no game depends on the ARC computer and someone can verify the system afterward.

Open ARC, verify connections and displays, reset a representative room, and confirm Game Systems Monitor is ready.

Release notes are part of operational trust
Software updates should not ask an escape room owner to guess. A useful release note separates customer-visible improvements from technical maintenance and calls out anything that deserves testing before the next group arrives.
ARC’s goal is to make updates understandable without forcing customers to follow source-code activity or development conversations.
