Staff Metrics
Compare staff session results, response times, hints, and activity across games and a selected date range.
Published Oct 28, 2026
Staff Metrics helps managers review recorded session and action patterns for each staff member. It shows both an all-game overview and a detail view that compares one person with a selected game. Use it as context for coaching; response time or hint counts alone do not explain why a session unfolded as it did.
Prepare staff tracking
Staff Metrics uses staff identities recorded with sessions and actions. In System → Overview → Staff & Permissions, turn on Use staff profiles and add the active team. During a session, select the person in Session Details on the Control page. If profiles were off, new sessions and actions may not be reliably attributed.
Historical names and unassigned activity can still appear in the report. A historical name can be mapped to an existing staff profile from the staff list; unassigned activity remains separate.
Choose the report scope
- Open Insights → Staff Metrics.
- Use the game selector to choose the game for the comparison panel. The staff roster continues to show all-game averages; the selected game adds a side-by-side game comparison for a person.
- Set the date range in the Insights dock. Staff Metrics uses the date range, but it does not use the wins/losses or Reported/Raw controls from Analytics.
- Select a staff row to open its detail. Select Back to all staff to return to the roster.
The Refresh control reloads the report. If there are no sessions in the selected range, active staff profiles remain available in the roster; widen the date range to include more history.
Read the report
The top summary shows the session count, escape rate, average acknowledgement time, average first-hint response time, and manual hints. The Coverage in this date range strip reports how many sessions have complete Session Details and a recorded player count. Use it to judge how complete the report’s input data is.
The roster includes active staff, archived staff, historical names, and unassigned activity where available. Its columns summarize sessions, escape rate, acknowledgement and response time, and hints per session. Select a row to see more detail:
- Overall averages summarize the person’s recorded activity across games in the chosen date range.
- Selected game shows the same measures for the game chosen in the Insights dock. If there is no activity for that person in the selected game and range, this panel explains that.
- Game-by-game detail provides context for that person’s sessions and actions in individual games.
Detail includes run results such as escape rate, game time, escape time, hints, and players, plus staff action measures such as average acknowledgement, first-hint response, and manual hints. Sample counts appear beside measurements so a small sample is visible.
Treat quick follow-ups as a prompt to review
The Quick follow-ups measure counts a staff member’s next non-resend hint within 10 seconds after they respond to a help request, provided no newer help request came first. ARC describes it as a conversation starter, not evidence of a mistake. Open the related session timeline before drawing conclusions.
If an old session has a Historical name, use its Map action to connect that saved name to a current staff profile. Mapping updates the identity used in Staff Metrics; it does not change who was signed in during the session.
